Q: What is Alpha Pet Care?
A: Alpha is a family of expert pet lovers devoted to providing clients with a variety of in-home care options to enhance their pets' wellbeing.
Q: Who are the people that work for Alpha?
A: Our family of caregivers are the best in the business. They come to us with a lifetime of experience as pet sitters and dog walkers. Then we rigorously screen and background check every potential candidate to make sure we'd trust them coming into our homes.
And for those exceptional few who become part of the Alpha family we insist on continued education in important areas like Pet First Aid/CPR certification and animal behavior.
Q: What kinds of animals do you provide care for?
A: We most commonly provide care for dog and cats. But we also are skilled in caring for birds, fish, reptiles and other exotic animals.
Q: I'm new, how much notice do you need?
A: Short answer: as much as you're able to give. Ideally a week is preferable for new clients but we understand that sometimes things come up at the last minute which is why we don't charge a fee for short notice. Very little notice is needed for returning clients since we are already familiar with you, your pets and their routine.
Q: In what areas do you provide service?
A: We provide care in all of Long Beach, Lakewood, South Bay LA and areas of Orange County.
Q: What credentials does Alpha have?
A: Alpha is a member of Pet Sitters International & Pet Sitters Associates. Alpha is licensed, bonded, insured and pet first aid/CPR. We are happy to share copies of all of our credentials with clients upon request.
Additionally, if asked, we can provide client references.
Q: How do you manage keys?
A: We have several options for managing keys including: pick-up and return, the use of a lock box or a secure hiding place.
Q: What if my pet becomes ill or injured?
A: In the unlikely event that a pet in our care sustains a life-threatening illness or injury, we will seek care from a licensed veterinary professional in order to stabilize the condition until such time that the client can decide the appropriate ongoing course of action. The client is financially responsible for all associated fees.
