Q: Why use a pet sitter?
A: Our pets love routines and schedules, and dislike change. Boarding your pet in a kennel is traumatic. Left in an unfamiliar place without you, your pet could develop behavioral problems, eating disorders, illness or fleas. Hiring a pet sitter allows their routine to continue in your absence. They receive the same care and affection they’re used to getting from you.

Q: Do you care for our pets in our home?
A: Yes. Our services begin and end in the clients’ home. We don’t bring pets to our home. Most of us have our own pets and that would be too disruptive to them.

Q: How often do you visit our pets?
A: The minimum is once a day (sorry no every-other-day) The rest is up to you. Most of our dog parents prefer two or three visits a day. Cat parents typically prefer one visit a day as they are fairly independent. Multiple visits in a day are usually spaced 6-12 hours apart. We can also provide overnight pet sitting if preferred. When we initially meet with you we’ll work out the best schedule.

Q: How long are pet sitting visits?
A: The majority of our pet parents prefer a 30-minute visit. We also offer a 60-minute visit. A few parents like a combination of both, for example, 30 minutes in the morning, 60 minutes for a longer walk in the evening. Everyone's needs are different, let us know what you think would be best.

Q: Does the same person take care of my pets?
A: In most cases, yes. The associate you initially meet with is the one who will care for your pets while you’re away. If this is not possible because of a scheduling conflict you'll have the opportunity to meet with another associate.

Q: How often will you take our dogs for walks?
A: We’re happy to go for walks at every visit, in fact, the majority of our time is usually spent on a walk as most of the other care items don’t require much time. This varies with each client.

Q: Do you administer medication?
A: Yes. We can give all types of medications at no extra charge, please ask for details.

Q: Are there any other fees?
A: We don't charge any fees for multiple pets, holidays or medication. In some cases we do charge a fee to pickup and return our pet parents' keys (click here for more info about key policies).

Q: How does payment work? What if I have to cancel my service?
A: Click here to review our billing and cancellation policies

Q: How much notice do you need?
A: We appreciate as much notice as possible. Overnight pet sitting availability is particularly limited, especially during the holidays. Although we try to fulfill every order for service, we are often not able to accommodate last-minute requests.

Additional information about Overnight Pet Sitting

Q: What is the Overnight Pet Sitting schedule?
A: Typically we arrive in the evening between 5-6PM. We all have pets of our own so we'll leave for a couple hours to take care of them, get something to eat and then come back to spend the night. The following morning we usually leave your home between 7-8am after the morning routine.

Q: What do I need to provide for my sitter’s overnight stay?
A: While we’re staying overnight we think of it as becoming a temporary member of your family. We ask that you provide a comfortable and clean place for us to sleep. If we have your permission we may bring our pets with us for a slumber party!
