Pottytraining is all about timing and if done consistently, a healthy dog can be pottytrained with relative ease. Over the years Alpha's helped so many puppies and dogs adjusting to their new home also get used to doing their business outdoors.

 

Timeframe: about 1-3 months

 

First, we'll meet with you and assess your needs.
We'll suggest a schedule compatible with both your daily schedule and your dog's needs. Also, since young puppies are often discouraged by vets to go for walks in public places near other dogs we'll determine the best way to spend our visit.

 

Second, we'll provide daily updates.
We'll monitor their progress and report to you daily if you'd like. That way you can make informed decisions and adjust the schedule as needed to complement your pup's progress. If you've started basic obedience training let us know and we'll practice your commands and reinforce their learning.

 

Third, our job is done and your floors are dry, HOORAY!
Once your dog starts to get the hang of it we'll talk about setting an end date, cutting back visits or focusing more on exercise. Also, this may be a good time to consider enrolling in one of Alpha's basic or advanced dog obedience training programs or Doggie Daycamp!
