Alpha 101 - Basic Obedience
This is the best place to start. Over a dog's lifetime they're known to learn over 200 words. In this program we start with five: sit, stay, heel, come, down. We also can help with nuisance behaviors like jumping, digging or playbiting.

Prior to our first training session we'll perform an overall health and behavioral assessment. With such a wide variety of breeds, size, age and temperament we need to customize our methods to your individual dog.

Alpha 101 takes place over the course of 3 one-hour sessions. During these sessions we not only work with your dog but also with you. Remember the goal here is not only obedience but to begin to open the lines of communication between you and your dog!

You'll be amazed at how much can be accomplished when we work with you in your home, a familiar environment free of distractions.

 

Advanced Obedience
For the pups that have mastered the basics, the fun continues: Advanced obedience doesn't just build on the basics but develops your dog's unique abilities. In the same way that children often excel in certain areas like math, sports, music, writing etc. Your dog may have skills waiting to be discovered:

• fetch
• drop/leave it/give
• shake (hands)
• go to bed
• back up (great for jumpers!)
• roll over
• stop
• speak
• off-leash obedience
• boundaries

 

Our methods are based on positive motivation, positive reinforcement and moderation. We do not believe in the use of verbal/physical abuse or shock collars.
